Emotional Wedding Speeches with Humor and Heart
Ruth looks forward to telling your story with warmth, joy, and an eye for detail. Through her words, she places you at the center of a beautiful ceremony and never fails to bring a smile to your faces and those of your guests. For this wedding officiant from Bubesheim, it’s especially important that every couple feels that the ceremony truly reflects who they are and that their big moment turns out exactly as they’ve always imagined it.
Non-religious wedding ceremony with Christian rituals
In addition to her work as a teacher, Ruth also has twenty years of experience conducting services at a Protestant church. That’s why, if you’d like, she’s happy to incorporate one or two Christian rituals into the ceremony. These might include, for example, the blessing of your wedding rings or a heartfelt blessing for your marriage. The beauty of Ruth’s non-denominational wedding ceremonies is that religious denomination, church affiliation, and the like don’t matter at all.

How did the idea of incorporating the blessing into the non-religious wedding ceremony come about?
“We would love to have more than just saying ‘I do’ at the registry office.” That was the wish of a couple who didn’t want a church wedding but still wanted God’s blessing for their journey together. I was immediately enthusiastic about this idea of a “non-denominational wedding ceremony with a blessing”: loving and personalized, just as the couple wanted. After nearly 20 years of serving in the church, I finally started my own business as an independent wedding officiant, offering this service—which is not typically included in independent wedding ceremonies.
Is it possible to have a wedding ceremony even without a blessing?
The only thing that matters to me is you and your wishes! Whether with or without God’s blessing, this decision is, of course, entirely up to you and will not affect the loving and personalized way I plan your wedding ceremony.
Can we incorporate rituals into the wedding ceremony?
That’s definitely possible! In addition to many beautiful rituals—such as the sand ritual, the eternity knot, planting a tree, and the like—we can create a ritual that’s uniquely yours, based on your own ideas and wishes.
What are the wedding consultations about?
During our first meeting, we’ll discuss your wishes and ideas for the wedding ceremony. I’ll share ideas for rituals and how to structure the ceremony, and use those to create a personalized plan for you. At our second meeting, you’ll share your love story with me—from when you first met to the proposal. Your shared experiences and special moments will be woven into an authentic speech that will bring smiles, laughter, and perhaps even tears of joy. Even between our meetings, I’m here for you and can be reached (almost) anytime via WhatsApp, video call, phone, or email. On your wedding day, you’ll receive a printed copy of your wedding ceremony as a personal gift.
Within what radius do you perform non-religious wedding ceremonies?
I have no geographical limitations and would love to come to your very own special favorite spot. Whether it's nearby, in the mountains, or even in Italy, for example—I'm game for anything.
