About Die Redenmanufaktur

A wedding speech isn’t something you just recite. You feel it. Melanie Brüggemann from Redemanufaktur in Munich adds with a smile: “It’s about the essence—about making the invisible connection between these two people audible and tangible.” It’s those intimate glances, the little touches, the playful banter, and the contrasts that Melanie captures in her speech, turning them into a memory that will last forever. When you say “I do” with Melanie, it’s not about living up to expectations. It’s about you. About your wishes. It’s about portraying you just as you are—as individuals, as a couple.

In her ceremony, the wedding speaker succeeds in immersing herself once more in your shared journey—in the tentative beginnings, the quiet moments of “understanding without words,” the challenges, and the exuberant joy. In the highs and lows. Into your life and into what makes you who you are as a couple.

As an experienced journalist for major national TV networks and magazines, host of the “Machgeschichten” portrait podcast, and voice-over artist, Melanie knows how to use her editorial tools to perfection. She says, “It’s about trust. About authenticity instead of kitsch.” With her, you won’t find any pre-written boilerplate or clichés. She tells your story as colorful and vibrant as it is. That’s what drives Melanie: “For me, the greatest gift is when, after the speech, guests ask if we’ve known each other since childhood. Then I know I’ve done them justice.”

Melanie listens, tunes in, and accompanies you on your big day—whether at Lake Tegernsee, Lake Ammersee, in the Allgäu, or at a mountain wedding. Her warm and welcoming presence and experience give you peace of mind and reassurance, so you can let go and simply enjoy your wedding day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Die Redenmanufaktur

How did you become a wedding officiant?

That’s actually the question I’m almost always asked. Basically, the path was already somewhat paved for me, because people and their stories have always fascinated me. When I started working at the local news desk of the *Münchner Merkur* after graduating from high school, profiles and feature stories were always my passion. I’ve also filmed many reports, interviews, and (celebrity) profiles for TV, and I found it incredibly fascinating to see the diverse stories everyone has experienced and just how much we can learn from one another. In 2018, my former colleague became a freelance wedding officiant, and she blurted out, “Mel, this is right up your alley!” The rest is history. And I’m grateful to be able to combine everything I love in my work as a speaker: journalistic fundamentals like conversation techniques and interviews, developing content and storylines, but also being able to get up close and personal with people and their stories. For me, that’s a tremendous gift every single time.

How does working with you work?

If we feel it’s a “good fit” after our consultation, our journey together begins. You’ll receive a questionnaire and some preparatory questions, which you’ll each fill out separately and send to me before our pre-wedding meeting. For our in-depth conversation as a couple, we’ll take plenty of time in a relaxed setting to really get to know you both. I’ll round out this information with some “insider tips” from your friends and family. On the day of the wedding, I’ll also coordinate with the other vendors on site so that you can just relax and enjoy the day.

What do you think is the most beautiful moment of the wedding ceremony?

My all-time favorite moment is and always will be the bride’s entrance. There’s so much magic in it. You can feel the tension among the wedding guests—and, of course, that of the groom as he waits. Everyone is eager to see when it will finally begin. And then the music starts playing, and everyone stands up. The searching glances, the feeling as if everyone is holding their breath for a brief moment. The beautiful bride walks down the aisle (looking, of course, completely different on this day than she did during our pre-wedding consultation). It’s a fascinating mix of surprise, emotion, and anticipation for what’s to come. It’s always such a beautiful moment—one where I’m usually on the verge of shedding a tear myself.

What's important for a non-religious wedding ceremony?

Trust is an absolute prerequisite for crafting a speech that’s perfectly tailored to you. As a speaker, I delve deep into your story and your family, and I may even learn things that aren’t meant for the speech. That’s why it’s important to me that you know I always act in your best interest and that everything is in safe hands with me.

Would you like to tell us a little more about yourself?

I love life and all its diversity. I’m endlessly creative and love trying new things all the time. For me, it’s always “all in.” I was an Oktoberfest reporter for münchen.tv and an Arena Guide at Munich’s Allianz Arena, where I guided people from all over the world through this “soccer paradise.” So speaking in front of large groups is second nature to me. Until the end of August 2025, our family lived as expats in Castelldelfels near Barcelona for three years. My highlights: I got to release sea turtles back into the wild after they’d recovered while volunteering at a marine animal rescue center there, and I volunteered at the America’s Cup in Barcelona—simply an amazing experience.
