You can book an appointment with us online. Since we take plenty of time to address your questions and requests, we offer consultations by appointment only. But booking with us is easy—it takes just two clicks. Then we’ll have a relaxed conversation where we’ll tailor our advice to your specific needs. We’ll ask: What are you looking for? Do you already have an idea? Are you still keeping your options open? And then we’ll get started: colors, materials, shapes, finishes, gemstones—all in person and ready to touch! It’s a personalized experience backed by extensive expertise. Our on-site master workshop also allows us to bring ideas to life immediately and give you a behind-the-scenes look at the goldsmithing process. And in the end: we’ll have crafted your very own, one-of-a-kind pair of rings!

How much do wedding rings cost at Hirn Goldsmiths?

Phew, that’s probably the hardest question—but also the one we get asked most often. We always say: don’t be afraid of the jeweler—we make rings for every budget. Our prices are always calculated right after a consultation and depend on many factors: choice of material, width, thickness, shape, size, whether or not to include gemstones, the amount of work involved, and complexity. This alone explains why there’s no flat-rate price. However, our focus is always on ensuring that, in the end, you have rings that—of course—fit your budget as well—and to achieve this, we can define many parameters that control exactly that.

Is an engagement ring a must-have for a proposal?

For several years now, engagement rings have once again become a major focus. Many men appreciate our personalized consultation and, above all, the opportunity to choose from rings we’ve already prepared here in our workshop or to design completely custom rings with us. What sets us apart is that you can have your engagement ring resized in no time at all if it doesn’t fit perfectly right away. And here, too, we uphold our commitment: engagement rings of perfect craftsmanship, available in a range of price points. Can you have old jewelry remade into something new at the Hirn Jewelry Shop?

Here at our goldsmith’s shop, we can, of course, incorporate, remodel, melt down, and completely redesign the jewelry you bring in. We call these pieces “Anima”—jewelry with a soul. However, not every material is suitable; for example, we cannot use necklaces or bracelets because they contain too much solder. And we only melt down materials with a gold purity of 585 or higher, as that’s the only way we can achieve good results. To advise you on this, it’s essential that the piece of jewelry you wish to incorporate is present during the consultation; only then can we proceed effectively. In any case, it’s wonderfully symbolic and sustainable to craft your wedding or engagement rings from old family heirlooms—because the soul of the piece is preserved.

What is the situation regarding sustainability at Hirn Goldsmiths?

Our handmade jewelry is sustainable. We source our materials from recycling loops, which we also “feed” ourselves with our own scraps and offcuts. If it’s suitable, we can even use materials you bring in yourself.
