View GalleryWhat are the options for ordering rings from you, and how does a consultation with you work?
For us, the couples and their stories take center stage—and that’s exactly how every consultation unfolds. Many come in person to our studio in Nuremberg, where we take about 1.5 to 2 hours in a relaxed atmosphere to design truly special rings together. Step by step, their ideas and our experience come together to create a unique design with great attention to detail. We work with a flexible, modular system, tailoring everything to the couple’s wishes. While we particularly value in-person consultations, we understand that traveling long distances isn’t always feasible in everyday life. That’s why we also offer the option of a thoughtfully curated online consultation via video call, during which we provide the same personalized, one-on-one guidance. To help you prepare, we send our customers a short guide in advance with plenty of information, pictures, and inspiration, so that you can feel well-informed and confident even from a distance. And for anyone who’s already fallen in love with one of our designs, our website features a wide selection of our most popular ring styles available for immediate purchase. This way, every couple can find the perfect path to their very own, personalized rings.
Is it okay for our wedding rings to look different?
Absolutely, yes! Everyone has their own style, their own taste, and ultimately, everyone wears the ring for themselves—every day, for a lifetime. That’s why it’s important to us that everyone truly sees themselves reflected in their ring. We often see a desire for custom solutions, especially among same-sex couples, because classic off-the-shelf ring sets often don’t fit their needs. We don’t offer any pre-made sets. Every ring is custom-made to perfectly suit the person who will wear it. And that starts with choosing the right color: Not every shade of gold complements every skin tone—we make a point of paying close attention to this during the consultation. If couples want their rings to have more in common, this can be achieved, for example, through the same material color, similar textures, or personalized engravings. For us, the most important thing is that the rings, above all, suit the people who wear them.
What are some specific details to keep in mind when designing a ring?
One of the most important decisions concerns the material. We work exclusively with high-quality, certified recycled precious metals. The classics, of course, include 950 platinum as well as 750 yellow, rose, red, and white gold. In addition, we also offer special gold tones that you won’t find just anywhere, such as champagne gold, lemon gold, pearl gold, or amarena gold. These extraordinary alloys have a character all their own, but they cannot be used for every ring design—we provide honest and transparent advice on this. Our recommendation is always to opt for high-quality 750 alloys, as they are more resistant to wear and tear and therefore more durable than alloys with a lower fineness. However, if desired, we also offer rings in 585 gold alloys. Just as important as the material is comfort. After all, a ring shouldn’t just look good—it should feel good, too. That’s why we ensure the edges are pleasantly rounded and the inside has a gentle curve—so the ring rests smoothly against the skin and becomes a daily companion you’ll never want to take off. And, of course, we also ensure it’s gentle on the skin. Another often-overlooked factor is the material thickness, since rings wear down over the course of a lifetime. We always ensure an ideal balance between ring size and material thickness so that the ring remains wearable and sturdy even after decades. When it comes to engravings or gemstone settings, we always plan ahead to ensure that future ring size adjustments are possible while preserving the design.
What gemstones do you offer for your ring designs?
When it comes to rings, it’s especially important to choose a gemstone that’s as hard and durable as possible, since a ring is subjected to a great deal of wear and tear in everyday life. The diamond is the most popular gemstone because it’s scratch-resistant and doesn’t lose its brilliance even after decades of wear. We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Salt & Pepper diamonds are perfect for those with a unique sense of style: their natural inclusions give them a rugged, intriguing, and absolutely one-of-a-kind look. Synthetic moissanite is a slightly softer gemstone—an affordable alternative to diamonds that’s particularly well-suited for larger stones. As a certified diamond appraiser, I advise our couples with extensive expertise and a keen eye for quality—with the goal of finding the perfect stone for every design, every person, and every budget.
How long does it take to make wedding rings, and when should you come in for a consultation?
Since we’re a small artisan shop and I craft each ring by hand with great love and care, we recommend coming in for a consultation about three to four months before the wedding. We usually allow six to eight weeks for the actual production—though it may take a little longer for particularly intricate designs. This leaves plenty of time for all your decisions, without any stress. You shouldn’t plan to pick up the rings too close to the wedding either, because we want you to look forward to this moment and not feel pressured. The sooner you get in touch, the better—not only to ensure the rings are ready on time, but also because the price of gold is constantly rising. So deciding early on can pay off twice over. And if you ever need things done more quickly—just let us know; we’re happy to help!
