Info & TicketsWhat does the name Zalected mean?
"Ausgewählt" means "selected" in English. To highlight the connection to South Africa, the first two letters were replaced with South Africa's international country code (ZA): "Zalected."
Who is behind Zalected?
Zalected—that’s me: Conny Stecker. Zalected was born out of a passion for South Africa. Eighteen years ago, during a business trip, I fell in love with South Africa, and ever since, I’ve kept returning to this wonderful country. Thanks to my love for animals, nature, and the fascinating continent of Africa, I’m constantly surprised and delighted by amazing experiences in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. The diversity of Southern Africa is endless, and I’d love to share this passion with you. I have personally inspected all accommodations and activities and selected only the best for you. I draw on all my knowledge to create a unique trip to South Africa and Southern Africa for you.
What sets the Zalected service apart?
I place great importance on connecting with my clients on a personal level and getting to know them. This allows me to better understand their wishes and expectations. South Africa offers such a wide variety of experiences, and to ensure the perfect itinerary, I place great value on personal contact. I design every trip with great passion and tailor it to each couple’s individual needs. I know exactly everything I select and offer to my couples. That’s because I’m always on the lookout for special, unique, and beautiful places. The accommodations I’ve chosen for you are therefore carefully selected and have a special touch. Throughout your trip, you’ll have a personal on-site contact available at all times to provide you with reliable support. This ensures that you’ll always feel accompanied and completely in good hands as you venture down new paths.
When is the best time to visit South Africa?
South Africa is worth visiting year-round. There’s no single “best time” to visit; it depends on your individual preferences. During the winter months—from May through August—the southeastern, eastern, and northern parts of the country are particularly good destinations. While nights can get cold, daytime temperatures are pleasant. This time of year is ideal for safaris, as the undergrowth in the bush has thinned out. The months from August through October are just right for travelers who want to visit Cape Town, see whales, and experience South Africa in full bloom. From December through February, summer reigns over the country and temperatures climb to as high as 30°C. In the fall, between March and April, you can marvel at the vibrant colors of the vineyards, and temperatures range comfortably between 20 and 25°C.
What else is there to say about a honeymoon trip to South Africa?
What makes South Africa so exciting is the endless diversity that travelers can discover. The landscape is constantly changing. In addition to reminders of its turbulent past and world-class safari opportunities on land and at sea, there’s also a 2,000-kilometer coastline with stunning beaches. However, South Africa isn’t just a beach destination. Breathtaking accommodations are hidden everywhere, and the authentic and exceptionally hospitable people add that special something, warmly welcoming travelers and inspiring them with their culture. Added to this is South Africa’s unique light, which amazes travelers, photographers, and artists alike—especially at sunrise and a few hours before sunset.
